Lesson 3 - Tag Album Inspiration

Todays lesson is all about Tag Albums, with lots of inspiration to make your own!

A few weeks ago I posted my own 'New Years Resolution' Tag Album on my blog and got a ton of comments and messages about it, so I hunted down some of the best Albums I could find, made you a template and put them all together here to inspire you!

Tag Albums are great for scrapbooking days out, scraps of memoribilia, passport and instax pictures or using as part of a full size layout or album.

Using the template in the download I made another Tag Album from scraps left over from previous projects, I used this to put lots of my favourite quotes in, I'll keep this with my Resolutions Album on my desk to keep me motivated!

Here are some close ups...

And here is my original 'New Years Resolution' Tag Album...

You can see more details of this one here on my blog.

And here are some cute albums I found on Pinterest...

Thank you for joining us for this weeks lesson, if you would like to share your Tag Albums please leave us your links or post them over on my Facebook page, we'd love to see, and we will share some of them in a future inspiration post :o)

We hope you'll pop back next week when I will have Lesson 4 for you. Don't forget the Crafty Kids Academy lesson will be up tomorrow, just in time for the weekend!

Lesson 2 - Introduction to Watercolour Pens

Todays lesson is brought to you by Jaine, who will be showing you some great tips and techniques with Watercolour Pens. A big 'Thank You' to our sponsor Kuretake who provided the pens for this tutorial.

Jaine is a complete expert with these and has shown a complete card as well as tips and tricks to get the most from your pens, I can't wait to have a go myself!

And here are a few more cards from Jaine to give you even more inspiration!

This card has been stamped with a Versafine Ink Pad, colour was added to the edges and then pulled out with a waterbrush

This one has been coloured directly onto the stamp and spritzed lightly with water before stamping - the background paper is made using the background effect technique shown in the tutorial

This one has also been coloured directly onto the stamp before being spritzed lightly with water and stamped, some colour was also added to the edge of the paper and sponged out with some damp blending foam

Thank you for joining us for this weeks lesson, if you would like to share your Watercolour Pen projects please leave us your links or post them over on my Facebook page, we'd love to see, and we will share some of them in a future inspiration post :o)

We hope you'll pop back next week when I will have Lesson 3 for you. Don't forget the Crafty Kids Academy lesson will be up tomorrow, just in time for the weekend!

Lesson 1 - Paper Piecing

Todays lesson is one of my favourite techniques - Paper Piecing.

Paper Piecing is a great way to add pattern and texture to your papercraft projects, get extra mileage from your stamps and use up all your tiny paper scraps! It's also a great way to get professional looking coloured images if you aren't very confident with Markers or Pencils or even just to get a different look.

This is the card I made for this weeks lesson...

My lovely Design Team have also contributed some paper pieced cards to give you some more ideas, so here is some more inspiration...
Thank you for joining us for this weeks lesson, if you would like to share your paper pieced projects please leave us your links or post them over on my Facebook page, we'd love to see, and we will share some of them in a future inspiration post :o)

We hope you'll pop back next week when Jaine will have Lesson 2 for you. Don't forget the Crafty Kids Academy lesson will be up tomorrow, just in time for the weekend!

Introducing Craft Academy & Crafty Kids Academy!

Craft Academy is a brand new concept from me and my talented design team!

We will be bringing you a whole host of inspiration, projects and tutorials over a number of crafty disciplines including card making, scrapbooking, altered art and stitching, to name a few! They will also be at all levels of difficulty, from beginner to advanced.

This is to be an interactive experience so we encourage you to give us feedback, ask questions, show us your projects and suggest things you would like to see - we will be glad to take them on board!

We have also created Crafty Kids Academy - I believe its very important to start young and encourage creativity in everyone no matter what their age. I was lucky enough to come from a creative family and am truly grateful for that experience, its also a great way to have your little ones work alongside you while you try to fit in some much needed crafty time!

We have some fantastic sponsors on board and there are a few more exciting additions and other things to come and we will be announcing them over the next few weeks - we hope you'll pop back next Thursday for the first 'lesson'! :o)
